Richard R. Wier, Jr. lectures on and litigates business issues involving trade secrets confidential information, non-competition, non-solicitation, unfair competition and related torts (civil wrongs).

His employment law expertise enables him to advise, negotiate, and draft documents involving such issues. He represents employers who want to protect their information and their competitive position. He has handled numerous cases in State and Federal Courts, in Delaware and Pennsylvania, for such businesses. He represents employees who are faced with threatened or actual litigation because of such issues or who are being asked to sign documents restricting their rights to compete, solicit or disclose.

Mr. Wier represents individuals and businesses in arbitrations and before government boards and agencies including the Delaware Securities Commissioner, the Human Relations Commission, the State Insurance Commissioner, the Medical Practice Board, the Unemployment Compensation Division, the Delaware Department of Labor and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, and other boards and agencies.

Mr. Wier is a member of the Employment Law Committee of the Delaware Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Legislative Committee of the Small Business Alliance of Delaware. He has drafted and testified on legislation before the Delaware General Assembly and the United States Congress.

As a former Attorney General Mr. Wier is active in the Society of Attorneys General Emeritus (SAGE) and has national contacts. These contacts have enabled him to work successfully on national and local issues for businesses. He has campaigned as a candidate with Senator Joseph Biden and Senator Thomas Carper and he has represented numerous public figures on a variety of public and private matters: He has close personal relationships with many public figures in Delaware and Nationwide which help facilitate communication on issues of interest to businesses.
